Grant R Nieddu - Review & Testimonial
We have Grant here from Spark Sites agency. We appreciate here at accessiBe, you jumping on board to answer a few questions, and you know, I'm just going to jump right into it first and foremost. What made you look for an accessibility solution for your clients?
Lawsuits. Right?
I had several high profile lawsuits. I serve a lot of small businesses who aren't at risk per se, but we know everyone's kind of at risk, and I had a bank and a medical clinic, and they were high risk, and their law, their legal office was like, Oh my God, we got to do something. And then, of course, if you research most of the standard WordPress accessibility solutions, they lack actual protection for the client.
I mean, the stuff looks good-ish, and it's super labor-intensive. And I just was thinking; there’s just no way that this will be, we have to hand-code everything. And it was not feasible for the clients. And so that's why we kept looking when we stumbled on accessiBe man.
Great. And I appreciate that answer. So more generally, you know, why do you think it’s important today for you to make your clients' websites accessible?
More generally, I mean A, it’s good behavior, right? Our accessibility, in general, is just the focus of the day, making sure everyone, who can, can get access to good content on the web. So that's just in general, it's just a good thing to do. And so the lawsuits are kind of a temporary risk.
You want to be available to a broader audience, and you're limiting your audience by not having an accessible website. You don't realize it because more people are coming online every day, and we know this, right, but we think about the third world. Still, the truth is that more people are coming online because of new accessibility technologies, like screen readers and screen browsers and stuff.
So, I think you're also limiting. If I just had to advise a client, if you want a broader audience space, you need an accessible website, you know.
Yeah, no, I understand and, you know, for me, the way that I think about it’s when
people think about inclusivity out of the times. They think of many, many different things besides people with disabilities. And it's great that you know, web accessibility has become a forefront topic here because, you know, everybody is finally starting to realize that, yes. You know there's the internet, we all use it. We spend most of our time on the internet today, and there's a significant part of the population, you know, depending on if you're going with the CDC or world health organization, people with disabilities affects 20 to 25% of the population to a level that affects internet use.
Uh, I appreciate that answer. And just to close things off. You know, there are many web
accessibility solutions out there. Why did you choose to partner up with accessiBe specifically?
Often, people will just kind of boil it down to price. Your guys' prices are second to none, definitely compared to the labor; every other solution is labor-intensive. So when I dropped one line of code, and suddenly it, my client was completely protected. The ongoing service you guys have for keeping the database of accessibility tools, always upgraded with one line of J script or JavaScript, I'm telling you it was a no brainer because it was complete protection, completely thorough. And the confidence behind it.
So the price was like, your price is low, but the value is so much high. I don't care what the price is, you know?
So the simpler, I mean, to summarize the simplicity of this, that I didn't have to task a whole team member to become an expert at accessibility, web accessibility, and then recode WordPress websites, which are good for lots of reasons. Still, WordPress is kind of the enemy when it comes to customization for accessibility, but just the way it's structured.
So you guys had the perfect one-line solution that was low on labor, the right price at the right time. But the ongoing support, I would probably pay double honestly.
I appreciate that and thank you for the awesome answers. Grant, I’m sure you're busy with the holiday season closing up. We’re just happy as a company to incentivize and facilitate a culture where making your client’s websites accessible is easy. It’s doable because, you know, here we’re, we have seen such a large population, business owner population had such a hard time making their websites accessible, and we're happy that we can make it easier for yourself. And for the other business owners out there.
Thanks so much. I appreciate it.
Happy holidays, Grant, and we'll be in touch very soon.
Yeah.
Happy holidays to you.
Take care.
Take care, buddy.
