David is legally blind and hard of hearing. After graduating from Stanford Law School in 1983, David pursued his passion for law by becoming a civil rights and disability rights lawyer in Washington DC. As Founder of David Shaffer Law, he specializes in class actions, sexual harassment, and accessibility issues. He is a former Section 508 coordinator for a large government agency and works on web accessibility and technology for the blind. David has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Court TV, and CBS, ABC, and NBC Evening News for his work on class action lawsuits and other federal cases.
David advises accessiBe on Civil Rights and Disability matters, making sure we're up to date with all regulations regarding web accessibility. He greatly contributes to accessFind, the world’s first search engine for accessible websites and a non-profit initiative by accessiBe.
